The New York region can seem busy and cold to folks from out of town.
We've got a few ideas to help on our Hotels and RON page.
Moreover, our Transportation and Security chief Ray Gabel offers you his "Ray's Picks." Get out of the local hustle-and-bustle. Get into a more corporate (or more relaxed) environment, your choice. Try his budget hostelry, fun eatery, fine dining or top-drawer hotel picks.
We know traveling gets old. There are choices beyond "the same old!"
Ray knows them and we checked 'em out for you.

With us, your aircraft and passengers are not “on display”
to public streets and prying eyes.
We’re a quarter-mile back from the public street and its manned Port Authority checkpoint. Our FBO is behind forested, fenced airport land. Our airside is shielded by our massive terminal. Our landside entrance is deep in a courtyard. And it’s all protected by 125 security cameras.
Access throughout is controlled with assigned card keys. All entries are recorded in our security center, where our video cameras are recorded 24/7.
Loading of catering, supplies and cargo is through double-gated “sally port” security tunnel. Contractor catering, for example, is delivered into pass-through refrigerators. OUR ramp people move your catering to the aircraft.
Security means continuous reliability, too.
For that, we’re operationally self-sufficient.
We operate our own fuel farm with 150,000 gallons of Jet A on-site. We’re not worried about traffic, weather or supply problems affecting access to third party fuel off-site.
We generate our own dual-redundant back-up electrical power, handy during those NY-area blackouts. Even the tracks of our hangar doors are heated against freezing.
Protecting Aircraft
Our “drive-thru” parallel aircraft parking means less repositioning and chance of “wingtip rash.” There’s 80% less towing and tugging at FIRST!
Staying longer? We provide a second, protected parking area away from day-to-day transient operations. Everything we do helps keep you flying, safely and efficiently, 24/7/365 !
Privacy is a virtue
Our private location, shielded ramp and protected motor courtyard mean your trip is your business -- not the world's.
Even our lobby is restful and private, by design. With Disney guest-care standards in mind, our staff moves unseen, behind-the-scenes -- not through the lobby.
Even more private is meeting and waiting space on our second floor. And you can avoid the terminal altogether, on request. Be chauferred to your aircraft through our security tunnel.

“Passengers on private aircraft may fly in the lap of luxury,
but they don’t always land there.”
Architect Gaddis/Wind Associates took their cues from corporate aircraft interiors and first class lounges at commercial airports. Then, they added premium finish materials to keep First Aviation…
“…simple, but elegant in form and design.”
Our terminal’s 30-foot windows “capitalize on the site’s spectacular views of the ramp....” Another plus: the ability to walk the length of our 900-foot facility without going outdoors.
“Tenants love being able to get from their hangar to the main terminal without getting in their cars and driving.”
Instead of trucking-in fuel from an off-airport location, FIRST operates its own on-site fuel farm. “It’s great not being dependent on a third-party supplier.”
Ample canopy space in front of the terminal is another pivotal design point.
“When you have heavy-hitters pulling up, it really causes anxiety to have them waiting behind someone else. We have the capacity (for) three vehicles side-by-side under our arrival/departure canopy.”
Security? More than 125 security cameras, card-accessed entries and a central electronic monitoring system ties everything together. Even catering vendors only access one side of our double-sided catering refrigerators, keeping our airside well-serviced, but secure.
“Passengers and tenants are increasingly interested in FBO security. It’s a great selling point, but we haven’t made things cumbersome.”
Said architect Gaddis about FIRST,
“They wanted everything to be just right, and they made sure we considered the best approach to every last detail.”
